Amazing stuff!

I would be grateful for an article on the award of the swords to Hausser on 26 August 1944. Thank you very much in advance.

Hi Wojtek!
Thank you for the compliment. Well, I don't have any information on Höfle yet. I will visit the archives again during the next week (in the new year) and I will have an extensive look at the whole "Das Schwarze Korps" microfilm collection again as I try to get as many primary sources on the SS generals as possible. I also plan to look through the extensive collections of "Völkischer Beobachter" and regional Berlin newspapers in the future as I bet that there will be lots of info on many of the generals. The problem is that this will take very much time. Besides the fact that I want to try to gather as much info from "Das Schwarze Korps" first, I will probably be able to start the further research during the next summer as I have to get my school based education finished at first (which is - sadly - more important than historical research ;) :D )

Best wishes
Florian

Thanks for posting articles!

Did you find any articles regarding OZAK or Alpenland (like Globocnik, Rösener,...)?

TIA;
Kocjo

Hi Kocjo!
No, I didn't notice anything regarding this. I will try to have an eye on these topics during my next visit! :)

Best wishes and merry christmas

Hi Tolga!
I have just come back from the archives with more than 100 new pages of material. I have seen no trace on Barkmann :( I would like to see an article on him, too.

Sorry and best wishes
Florian

BTW - would anyone be interested in seeing all the copies I made scanned as JPG (the whole pages, not only 'cut-outs') and with a searchable index on CD-ROM? If so, please contact me via PN!

Best wishes

The first extracts from my new copies:

All three scans are from issue

03.02.1938
Folge 5

Seite 4 for the two texts and Seite 18 for the death notice!

I have never seen this Willikens picture before. Too bad that the photo quality sucks! Also note the article on the famous racing pilot Bernd Rosemeyer!

Best wishes
Florian
