I seem to remember someone askinmg for a picture of Karl Hanke in SS uniform. How about this of him with the Italien ambassador Attolico and his wife and Dr Heinrich Glasmeier in 1938

You´re welcome. The chevron in the right arm was for all the members of the NSDAP or SS who joined pre-1933.

I haven't seen many photos of Karl Hanke in SS uniform, but in Gauleiter one.

I noticed in the section "Militaria & Collecting ‹ Axis Edged Weapons" that a member said: "The name of Karl Hankes nephew is Oskar Hanke and not Otto Hanke!". Is this the same person as Landrat Dr. Oscar Hanke? If it is the same person, I want information about him and a photo.

Phil~

The badge worn by Görlitzer is the Goldenes Gauehrenzeichen des Gaues Berlin der NSDAP, instituted by Gauleiter Dr. Goebbels on 29.10.1936.
