Post by Georg_S » 01 Mar 2004, 14:10

Hello to you all,

Can someone provide me info and perhaps a
photo of SS-Stubaf Fritz Degelow.
He was in the end of the war one of the officers
at KL Dachau, and he order the most "Deathmarsches"
from the camp.
I think i served in 5.SS-Pz.Div. "Wiking" before he
came to KL Dachau.

Thanks in advance

Best regards,

Georg

Degelow was from 15.11. – 12.12.1945 defendant in the Dachau-Trial (Case No. 000-50-2: US v. Martin Gottfried Weiss et al). He was sentenced to death but the judgement was reduced to 20 years of imprisonment later.

His identification number at the trial was No 37. On this pic is shown in second row second from the left next to Fritz Becher (No 27).

Does anyone know when Fritz Degelow received his commission as an SS-Untersturmführer and to what units or organisations of the SS he was assigned to before the war?
Many thanks.
