Questions regarding Fritz Darges

#1

Post by SS-Researcher » 11 Jul 2004, 13:08

Hello!
Can anyone tell me when and whose adjutant Fritz Darges was?
I have weird information on that.

Sometimes he is said to have been 1937-1939 in "Stab Hess"
In the DAL 1936 and 1938 he is listed in "Stab RFSS"
I have also read that he was Bormann's SS-adjutant in 1938.

Can anyone help?

Best wishes and thanks
Florian

Data from Charles Hamilton book Leaders and Personalities of the Third Reich; Darges was Martin Bormann's adjutant 1936-1939, after front line duty he served as a personal adjuntant to Hitler 1.3.1943 - 18.7.1944. He was dismissed as a result of laughing at Hitler as he tried to shoo a fly away from his face.

By the way: What did Darges do between 31.10.1939 and 01.03.1943?

Hi panzerschreck,

Darges was a company commander in both Rgt. "Deutschland" and "Der Führer" before being transferred to the Panzertruppe and becoming the commander of 3./SS-Pz.Abt.5 in early 1942. He was awarded with EK2 (15.7.1940) and EK1 (19.8.1942).

Thanks for your information Georg and feldmeyer ! :)

So i think he is the last living member of the front visits that Hitler made between 04/09/1939 and 05/10/1939 to Poland ?

(Wich are mentioned in the book "Auf den Strassen des Sieges" from Otto Dietrich).

Hello!
Can you tell me who followed Darges as Hitler's personal Adjutant. I know that Julius Schaub was before Darges.
