SS-Sturmbannführer(?) von Waldeck and others
Hello,
Who can give me some more info about an SS-officer, probably an
SS-Sturmbannführer, named von Waldeck??? He should have been Commander from Panzerkampfgruppe XIII and he should have been
Vorsitzender eines Kriegsgerichtes. And he should have fallen in the last week of the war.
I've read about him in one of the Der Freiwillige-issues.
And also some info about SS-Untersturmführer Werner Hahn is welcome. He served with the 2. Kompanie, II. Bataillon, 2. SS-Regiment 'LAH'.
Furthermore some info about Fritz Böcker is welcome. He was born on the 26th of August 1915 in Münster and he served as a Zugführer in a Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment from 1. SS-Division 'LAH'.
And if somebody knows more about SS-Untersturmführer Jan Cornil??? He was born in Belgium on 25-12-1920 and he served with SS-Art. Ausb. u. Ers. Rgt. Prag.
Also info on a certain SS-Obersturmführer Michalski is welcome. In winter 1943/1944 he should have been commander from 8. Kompanie with SS-Panzer-Regiment 1.
And if somebody has info about the following SS-Untersturmführers, would be appreciated as well. They were all Zugführer with the 8. Kompanie from SS-Panzer-Regiment 1: Horst Rempel, Fritz Dumek, Schröter and Bruno Randt.
I've read about all these men in a certain issue from Der Freiwillige.
Thanks for all the info you can provide me with.
Greetings,
Mikedc

Hey Jan-Hendrik,
Thanks for bringing this post back to life, I even didn't know it was there.
But I'm still very interested in getting some more info on the officers mentioned here, including the one you're mentioning, Ustuf Randt.
So let's wait and see, maybe somebody will give us an answer this time.
Greetings,
Mike

Hello Peter,
I only can say thank you, thank you very much.
These men had to be on the Führerliste was my guess but since Jan-Hendrik and myself don't have that great piece off work we couldn't check.
So we had to rely on others for doing so and we are damned lucky that you're so kind to look this all up.
I'm not deeply religious but I say it anyway, God blesses you...
Take care,
Mike

Hello Phil,
Thanks for the info on Hahn, it's much appreciated like always.
And no, I don't think it's Josias zu Waldeck und Pyrmont.
I'll try to find this particular issue from Der Freiwillige the next coming days, but as far as I remember the info I wrote about was in there.
I thank JG as well for the other information.

Hello Mike,
regarding the elusive Waldeck: Could this be someone from another noble family? Potential candidate families would be:
- Graf Boos zu Waldeck (also known just as 'Boos-Waldeck')
- Heusinger von Waldeck
- Heusinger von Waldegg
- Heusinger von Waldegge
One of Josias' brothers must have been an Oberstleutnant in the Panzer arm with short stints at Panzer Regiments 1, 9 and 201 plus Panzerbrigade Norwegen. This would make it somewhat likely it was him but I fail to see a SS connection so far.
Best regards
Torsten
