Anything more on Stubaf. Ernst Kleinert than being Kdr. of 6./SS-PzGrenRgt.2 in 1944 and leader of a Marschbatallion in 1945 ?

The account mentiones that Ostuf.August Krönke acted as adjutant for Schäfer.

Some other officers that book mentiones are:

Ostuf. Puttkamer (relative of Hitler's naval adjutant), a company commander in Schäfer's unit.
Hstuf. Thomas Mrugalla
Ostuf. Babick
Stubaf. Wahl, who took over the regiment after the death of Anhalt.
Hstuf. Klingmeier, Mohnke's adjutant and previous commander of LSSAH Ausbildungs-und Ersatz Battalion from Spreenhagen.
Ostuf. Stehr, Mohnke's liason officer.
Stubaf. Ernst Kleinert, commander of march company at Hartmannsdorf/Spreenhagen. A former company commander in LSSAH. He had lost an leg in Russia(maybe the same man as Ostuf. Kleiner, who was commander of 6./SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt. 2 ?)

Any thoughts of readers of that book?.Did you find that account credible?.

Cheers/Juha

In the book Willi Rogmann claims to have had a brief conversation with Hitler I find questionable. It just seems too good to be true. But who knows maybe it did happen?

Cheers,
Phil

Any additional info on Arthur Klingemeyer? He didn't die on May 1, as he is mentioned by Schenck as taking part in the last briefing before the break-out on May 2 ... I acctually believe to have read that he survived the war!?

Thanks guys, for the info about Klingemeier.
And yest, I've read that he was killed on May 1st but also that he survived the war and died later. But since I had no extra info on the last one I sticked to him being killed on May 1st.
So it's pretty safe to say he indeed wasn't killed on May 1st 1945???

Here is some more information about the A.u.E. Btn., Wach Btn., and Kampfgruppe Mohnke. Taken from the book "Leibstandarte IV/2 by Tiemann. I don't know how accurate it is.

1. Spreenhagen Ausbildungs und Ersatz Bataillon
Commander: Sturmbannführer Klingemeyer

Consisted of 12 companies in January 1945

Regiment "Falke" was established from 1. A.u.E. Btn. in March 1945.
Commander: Obersturmführer Rosenbusch.

2 battalions under Sturmbannführer Klingemeyer were transferred to Berlin and incorporated into Kampfgruppe Mohnke on April 15 1945.

Both battalions were reorganised together with several reservist companies and elements from 3. A.u.E. Btn. (Totenkopf).

Sturmbannführer Klingemeyer became the Ia of Kampfgruppe Mohnke.

Regiment "Falke" was subordinated to the 32. SS-Div. and sent to Lichtenberg on April 16 1945.

1. Berlin-Lichterfelde Wach Batallion

Until committed in the Citadel K.Gr. Mohnke fought as a unit consisting of 2 regiments in the LAH Kaserne Lichterfeld/West.

1 regiment of 2 battalions formed from 1. Wach Bataillon (reinforced with a battalion from A.u.E. Btn. on 15 April.)
Commander: Standartenführer Anhalt.

1 regiment, also of 2 battalions, formed from members of the Berlin Waffen bureaus, the majority formerly from the LAH.

In addition a battalion under Sturmbannführer Spæth was dispatched and fought as part of Division Münchenberg near Küstrin.

Kampfgruppe Mohnke occupied positions in the Citadel on 23 April.

1. Regiment "Anhalt"
Commander: Standartenführer Anhalt
Ordannanzoffizier: Untersturmführer Helmet Triebel
I. Bataillon (Hauptsturmführer Mrugalla)
II. Bataillon (Hauptsturmführer Schäfer)

2. Regiment (commanders unknown)

Standartenführer Anhalt was killed 25.4.1945, regiment was then lead by 'Wahl'.
