More on Wolfram Sievers
More on Wolfram Sievers
I am interested in more on Wolfram S earlier life - where he was born, his parents' social class, anything on his background that goes before 1935. So far have only seen his year of birth (recorded as 1905) - no other details even in the trial records.
Appreciate all info or links to other sources.
Thanks!

Re: More on Wolfram Sievers
Good evening to all~
I am very new to this site. I was wondering if anyone knows the names of his parents? Or when his children were born?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance.....

Re: More on Wolfram Sievers
His parents' details are in his SSO and RuSHA files held by the Bundesarchiv-Lichterfelde (microfilm copies at NARA.) The DOBs of his children are on the orange card above (also in his SSO file.)

Many thanks to you Mr. Williams. As I stated, an new to this site. May I ask what is an orange card? And what is RuSHA?
Again thank you for your help and wisdom!!

Re: More on Wolfram Sievers
No problem. RuSHA is SS-Rasse- und Siedlungshauptamt. All SSO files held orange cards which give basic bio and service details. The post above shows a Xerox copy of one side of such a card. Of course, not all of them are up to date.

Re: More on Wolfram Sievers
Once again.......many thanks!! I called a family member in Einbeck to help me read the information. My German is very poor. But I am trying to learn with the Rosette Stone. I really appreciate you reply.
Many Blessings, Sandy =)
Re: More on Wolfram Sievers
Enlightening. Sievers was rather a latecomer to the SS (1935)..I did not know this. He was also a "printer" by trade and not a "bookseller" as Heather Pringle reports (and so also did William L. Shirer in "Rise and Fall"). I hope someone writes a bio (in English) on him someday. He sounds like an interesting character.
Re: More on Wolfram Sievers
I am looking to find the best way to obtain Wolfram's parents & children's names. Thanks to Mr. Williams for informing me about the files in Berlin. From what I can tell, I would have to hire someone to go there and look for the information and then they would send to me. Does anyone know if I can obtain them over the internet? Thanks for your time.
Many Blessings, Sandy =)

Sandy,
Here are the children's names and birthdates. I will look up his parents for you.
