I notice such an overwhelming number of executed people due to shooting downed Allied airmen. Was any allied or non-german ever tried and convicted of executing German airmen? Just curious

I've never heard of any German aviators being killed by civilians in western Europe. I don't think many allied aviators (if any) were killed after capture either, until the Nazi government started to actively encourage such lynchings in late 1944.

Hello,

Willi Fischer was political prisoner and capo at subcamp Kaufering II and later in Kaufering IX between 1944/45. In the end he took part on a evacuation march as guard and allegedly shot prisoners.
Before his transfer to Dachau in July 1944 Fischer was capo in Lublin concentration camp.

Regards,
Markus
