mystery civilian
Max - do you think the civilian on the Mauthausen photo with Himmler et al bears some resemblance to your "mystery" man posting at Himmler's home, posted a little while ago?

Re: mystery civilian
Similar, but I don't think it's him. Thanks for keeping this one in mind.steve248 wrote:Max - do you think the civilian on the Mauthausen photo with Himmler et al bears some resemblance to your "mystery" man posting at Himmler's home, posted a little while ago?

Re: Himmler Photo
Here´s Himmler, possibly in the Crimea. Anyone recognise the others?

Re: Himmler Photo
It's a photo that's been discussed here before. Left is Prützmann and right is d'Alquen. The SS-Brig. was a point of discussion between von Alvensleben and I can't remember who the other suggestion was. I have my opinion, but I'll leave it to others to debate.

Re: Himmler Photo
Sorry the caption of Hitler with Himmler picture must been in error-Hitler never wore a SS uniform-although he was SS # 1!
Clearer version at

{In Q. Reynold book on Adolf Eichmann "Minister of Death" there is a picture of Hitler with Eichmann Id in the background}
On the other hand there was A WW II book with what is reportably Hitler at KZ Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp
I think this picture was part of a series-similar to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Bunde ... visite.jpg
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File: ... visite.jpg
I think the Mis-id of Hitler at Mauthausen came about because Himmler is wearing a long cape-supposedly no one but AH was supposed to have this type of Uniform!
