Bio of SS-Stubaf. Schwend (alias Dr.Wendig,Wenceslav Turi)-help

Greetings,

I'm searching for a bio of a certain SS-Sturmbannführer Schwend (alias Dr.Wendig,alias Wenceslav Turi,alias Don Federico).In Piekalkewicz's book "Krieg auf dem Balkan 1940-1945" I read that he was "Chef der Falschgeld-Vertriebsorganisation des Referats VI-Wi des RSHA" and that he was responsible for a special operation in which he made a deal with chetniks and partisans in Istria to buy off weapons the Allies sent to the guerillas(!). He allegedly payed for them in counterfit dollars and pounds made by Gestapo in "Aktion Bernhard". Any info on this rather spectacular operation?

I only have something on a certain Friedrich Schwend, but it looks liek they're identical.

Friedrich Schwend: Austrian salesman.
Nazi.
Before WW-2 he was a salesman throughout Europe, Asia and North- and South-America.
He then became a member of the SS and the SD.
He became head of the counterfitdepartment within the SD.
SS-Sturmbannführer und Kriminalrat der Polizei.
After WW-2 he fled to Peru.


Sorry, don't have anything more on the man.

born 20 June 1908 in Beckingen or 6 November 1906 in Boeckingen/HEILBRONN.
son of Albert and Helene (Hermann) Schwend.
Wife: Hedda (Neuhold)

Entered Peru in 1954 from Panama. Lives at Kilometer 17, Vitarte (outskirts of Lima). Service department manager of Motor-Import S.A., the Volkswagen firm in Peru in charge of their mechanical section.

In 1955 Schwend was sentenced to 24 years in prison by an Italian Court for a homicide allegedly committed in Italy in
1944. Although this conviction was later reversed by the Italian Court of Appeals, Schwend is still wanted by the Italian authorities in connection with this offense. However, before they can proceed with a new charge against Schwend, Italian government officials feel it imperative they locate and interrogate another individual allegedly involved in this matter; one Aloise Glavan. Therefore, Italian authorities will not now extradite Schwend, and his position in Peru is apparently stable.
