War crimes

#1

Post by Buehring » 19 Feb 2006, 01:39

I am interested in the Emil Bühring who was an official of the Nordhausen concentration camp. During the U.S. war crimes court Dora-Mittelbrau (Nordhausen) Trial at Dachau, from August 7, 1947, to December 31, 1947, he was sentenced to life imprisonment.

For what crimes was he convicted?

Did he serve his entire sentence?

Where was he born?
When was he born?
Who were his parents?
Who were his siblings?

Where may I find information such as I listed above?

Any other information will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Sorry to poke up such an old topic, but I was wondering the same thing and came across this thread.

I was "untangling the roots" of my relatively innocent Irish family genealogy, and the name "Bühring" pops up. I was familiar with this trial, and would like to confirm there's no way Emil Bühring is related (even distantly) to my family tree. Just to make myself feel better. I can't seem to find any records on his family anywhere--any ideas where to look?
