Thanks Hugo for being awake so good.

My mistake Jan-Hendrik, 'Die Personen-Lexikon' was correct.

I made a typing-error with both numbers.
'Die Personen-Lexikon' also gives:
NS-nr. 152.010
SS-nr. 53.093

Hallo Mike,
in Charles Trang's book "Totenkopf" (page 468) is listed a certain SS-Hstuf Baier as Chef of 4.Kompanie/SS-Totenkopf-Infanterie-Regiment 3. Is it possible that this Baier is "our Lorenz" ?

More on Baier
He was transferred to the SS-TV after graduating from JS Bad Tolz in 1935, serving with SS-TV Sachsen and SS-TV Brandenberg after which he was transferred to SS-TK 4 and Heimwehr Danzig in 1939. Baier served with the Totenkopf Division from the outset and later "Nord" (divisional 1c), "GvB" and "Horst Wessel" (battalion commander). Currrently hosts the FOX News Report at 6:00PM daily..my version of 6 degrees of separation humor

Thanks for the extra info on Baier guys, much appreciated.
The more because this info isn't mentioned in the 'Personen-Lexikon der NSDAP'.

And meanwhile the question from Giorgio has been answered as well, thanks for that Waffen-IDF.....

Does somebody knows his place of birth??
And which Bataillon did he command in 'GvB'??
We know he was Ic with 'Nord' and also that he commanded SS-Pz.-Abt. 18 but I'm curious to find out which unit he commanded in 'GvB', and when.......

Old thread but I wonder if someone knows what happened with Lorenz Baier after his service in SS-Pz.Abt.18 he held that command during 1944 (ended august) but after that everything is empty.

I also wonder if someone knows when and as what his service in 17.SS- GvB was.

More info needed - when I have looked him up I have found out that in 1942 he held command of the Leichte Kolonne of SS-Art.Rgt.5 Wiking, but other sources claims that he served in the Stab of the 5.SS-Wiking Anyone who knows more?

And at last does anyonw know where he was born and if possible when he died and where?

Best regards
Georg
