Hi everyone. I found those two and i want to know: where they were worn and for what. Their prices and if they are common or not. Thanks. :)

oRion

Here is a link to a site with the history of the Leeds Rifles

http://www.yorkshirevolunteers.org.uk/leedsrifles.htm

and here's one to an eBay sale of the same Queensland Medical badge.

oRion,
They are both "British" Cap badges.....they date from WW 2 era. The "Leeds Rifles" is self explanitory, the "Queensland" is alittle differant. It may be South African...however it is also from WW 2. It utilizes the Queens Crown because the Hospital was founded by Queen Victoria (normally the Crowns changed when the Monarch changed...but not in this case)
The one in the link is an older one, but would be much larger if it was the Boar War version. Yours (both) in Gilt are definately WW 2 (until 1953 when QEII assumed Crown). The price he's asking is ridiculous....they're not anything special....maybe $8.00 to $20.00 US each.....assuming they still have thier mounting lugs (cotter pin type or slides).
Hope this helps
