Did the British produce mk1 helmets between 1918 and 1940?

Postby JeroenPollentier on 26 Jul 2008 19:14

I have an English refurbished 1916 helmet with 1937 type liner. The shell is definitely pre-1940, but I would just like to know if it has seen the battlefields of WW1. So have all Mk1 helmets been made during 14-18, or is it possible that mine is an “interbellum-helmet”?
By the way, is this a typical early WW2 helmet, or were the refurbished ones hardly used once the mk2 was made?

Many thanks
