Definately NOT any National Military patch....I'd say definately U.S., some sort of "blazer" patch, probably from a school or possibly a military-type school...."the open book, palmetto tree, and knight's head" are all typically US, probably S. Carolina (if that's what the tree is)....I start researching "Military school/Academic Institutional emblems" starting in S.C., then in the South, etc.....if you really still want to know...
