HOS Uniforms and Insigina... How Much Did They Exist?

Hi all, been trying to crack the "code" of the late war use of uniforms by the HOS. According to more than book, in late 1944 the armed forces had received around 120,000 sets of German M-43 uniforms. In the Osprey book, 'Axis Forces In Yugoslavia 1941-45' it mentions "New dark-brown uniforms and rank insignia were introduced in 1944". If anyone knows about the Croatian Army in WWII, is that it was always hurting to keep up with producing uniforms for new recruits. Hence why Germany sent 120,000 sets of M-43 uniforms. The Ustasha had their mustard yellow uniforms but that was nothing new. And even some of the Ustasha wore German M-43 uniforms. Does anyone have any idea if this is even true about a "new dark-brown" uniform being made late in 1944?

Thanks,

Cassius29

Hi Cassius, if this picture could be helpful to You I'll be glad. This soliders recruited 1944 to Ustasha forces, sure about it because 2nd on the right is my grandfather. As I remember he told me they get Italian uniforms, dark blue? At picture it's look everybody have different color of uniform don't know is it game of light and shadow.
