Hello, Does anyone know what armored vehicles the Hungarians used such an the Mark I Panzer or any Italian vehicles or was it purely a Horse mounted campaign?
Thanks Greg

How is your Hansa-Lloyd half-track diorama, by the way?
Bye,
Krisz

Re: Hungarian Invasion of USSR 1941
Hi All.
My father was in a section of the Gyorshadtest called the "magyar királyi első lovas dandár gépkocsizó hadihídanyag oszlop", which roughly translates as the "Motorised Bridge-Building Support Unit of the Royal Hungarian 1st Cavalry Brigade".
I have attached a few photos from his extensive collection. These photos are all from Russia showing various armoured vehicles. I also have many photos of the specialized Hungarian built tractors and vehicles used by his bridge building unit if anyone is interested.

Re: Hungarian Invasion of USSR 1941
I would be very interested in seeing those specialised equipment photos if possible ,Thanks.
Some very interesting books have been published here in Hungary in the last few years dealing with the invasion and the campaign upto the 'Don-Kanyar' late 1942.

Hi George,
Very interesting images!!! Thanks for sharing
I think the tractors are Hofherr és Schranc/Clayton & Shuttleworth HSCS KV50L 29M. Have anyone more information about these little known vehicles?
Regards Sturm78

Re: Hungarian Invasion of USSR 1941
Here is one last photo I have found of a tractor towing a pontoon.
I have around 20 photos of many other types of vehicles used in Russia in 1941 by this bridgebuilding unit. It is incredible how the army must have assembled everything that would drive, due to the shortage of reliable transport vehicles. Does anyone want to see those photos? I don't want to hog this topic at the expense of others who wish to contribute.
