Hello,
Can someone please confirm if these troops are Rumanian. Any info regarding the wagon also appreciated.
Photograph taken in Ukraine 1941/42.
Many thanks, Dave

Thanks viadalex,
Can anyone ID the tunic with the straight pocket and the two different types of field cap.
Thanks, David

Re: Rumanian Infantry ID
Something is not right here. Hungarians were never in Crimea...
Do we have a better quality photo? Hungarian caps had two buttons placed vertically, I can't see them on original photo.
Here are Hungarian POWs in 1942/43, in poor state, but cap buttons still in place.
There used to be a third large button (cockade) with Hungarian national colors on the front top of the caps, but not all units had them.
These POWs seem to have this button ripped off.

Re: Rumanian Infantry ID
Hi Greg,
Here is the second photo in the series.
I'm confused as I can find no evidence that Hungarians were ever in Crimea, yet these two photos are sandwiched between photos of Kerch and Simferopol in Crimea.
Cheers, Dave (also in Melbourne)
