Slovakian War Victory Cross 1st Class- German Recipients?

#1

Post by luftk » 17 May 2016, 23:40

I came across this table of stats on German wiki and I wanted to know if the names are known of the 34 German holders of the 1st Class of this award? No source was given there unfortunately.

I assume the names are out there as the figures seem to be detailed and not just rounded off.

Thank you

Well for example Oskar Dirlewanger, Hermann Höfle after Uprising was defeated. Not sure which one was given to Karl Hermann Frank.
I believe I read somewhere Göring got Großkreuz and it is now in RAF Museum London.
Pilfousek got one, but lower class meant for colonels. Not sure how he is counted. He served as a colonel in Slovak army and later in SS.

Göring certainly did receive the Grand Cross, which counts for that one.

Anyone have any information on recipients of the 1st Class?
