Howdy as I've been browsing the web for a M-36 I've come across alot of reproductions and I've noticed that unlike the original pictures I've seen https://fcit.usf.edu/holocaust/gallery/08870.htm and https://www.therupturedduck.com/product ... ic-for-nco , that the repros don't have the same pointed ends..

Is there a reason for this? And is there a vendor that sells them pointed?
Reproductions that have a more pointed down collar?
Re: Reproductions that have a more pointed down collar?
Was this just a dumb question? Am I missing something?

Yes Totenkamp the vendors examples do appear less pointed as you say. Good question (with no replies).

I think it is because the white tape is folded over itself at the corner to change direction, which gives it the sharp appearance. There is a good demo of upgrading a Waffen-SS tunic after being promoted on YouTube https://youtu.be/_ny_RfaO034.
Btw the photo of the extremely pointed collar looks wrong imho.
Hope this helps.
