I`m looking for new good quality low ankle boots. What are your opinions on "Zeugmeisterei" low boots. They claim it`s the best repro on the market and price seems reasonable 169.- euro (aprox. $205.-)

These are the nicest boots I've seen yet. The steel toe caps are just that, these will last you years but you will need to change the laces. I managed to supply a couple of pairs to people here in the UK. If they've got them in and you want a pair grab them as the company who makes them is hit and miss. One minute you can get them, the next you'll struggle to even speak to them on the phone. Well worth the money in my opinion. Only wish I'd kept a pair for myself :?

I'm looking to get a pair as well. Is ZM hard to deal with? They being in Germany and I'm in the US so that complicates things more.

Don't see why. Come on guys buying stuff from outside of the States is hardly complicated these days surely. An e-mail to Thomas and everything should be plain sailing. Plus exchange rates are more favorable at the moment.

How about lost battalions? They`re selling them for $350.- claiming they are correct copy but I see they don`t have hoocks for lices and the soil is completely different shape than ZM.

How do you communicate with ZM? You can`t order from his website, there is no phone # and he is not responding to emails...

Richard did sell these, however if memory serves me correctly he is out of stock at the moment. ZM are the only ones that I know of currentley that are stocking them. Even I can't get hold of any at the moment :x

The 4-6 weeks delivery time they state on their hompage suggests that they are also not in stock at ZM.

And having heard of delivery time horror stories with ZM from others, I wouldn't out my faith in them being able to deliver.

Very strange. If you look on the forum that the link is posted on you will find nothing but good things said about Thomas, his products and his delivery times. These comments come from people from many different countries. I shouldn't even be saying all this as he is my competition :D However in the case of these boots its worth letting people know what a superb item they are. I only hope smoeone on hear from the States buys a pair so you can see the quailty.
