alright, this thread went way off in the brush somewhere, but let me just say that my conversions are not meant for quality reenactment groups, etc, they're more for people wanting to screw around and play paintball or airsoft, etc. I don't do them anymore, anyway, no time

What do you guys think of converting this eastgerman fire fighter visor to an allgemeine or panzer SS?
And the grey stuff isn't dirt, it's smoke from a cigarette

Wouldn't a Reichsbahn hat be easier to do?

The piping around the crown would need replacing (I think all A-SS had white, though officers might have been silver bullion) and this can be a real pig to do.

Piping around the band is easier (look back to the start of the thread) but the overall colour appears to be a deep blue rather than a black.

Just my thoughts, however.

these look great :D

I was told not to do east german conversions due to minor differences, but that might just be for reenactment groups :s

Just a quick question, can Bundeswehr tunics be converted?
I am guessing it isn't, but would be interesting to see.
Searching for Truppenfahrrad parts: Torpedo coaster brake parts, Union-werke headlight, truppenfahrrad handlebars, Torpedo front wheel hub.

i have five EG summer tunics two Swedish ones, one wool the other cotton twill(Navy, it had anchors on the buttons) resembles drillich, i was just fooling around and the first wool Swedish onei wore to a battle at JB fearful that the others would all have better repro tunics, nope they were all wearing Swedish farbwear!!! Spanish Helmets and NVAboots in all fairness this was about 2000 and prolly everyon has upgraded by now, i have. i could use the farbs for loaners.
