Do you like to eat?
This blog was pointed out to me the other day, and I need to share it. I'm going to post this in both the Heer/RW/W-SS section as well as the reenacting section, because this information is of value to both the historian and the reenactor.
Bon appetit!

Re: Do you like to eat?
interesting article you got there. While the mess tins are eye-catching but I am curious about
the daily rations of the soldiers---German soldiers, Soviets, Scandinavians... what did they eat ? Were there any ersatz foods?

Chewy, that blog just has the recipes, but he cites his material, and he has other links on there as well. I was looking for specific information to help my own research and writing, so I'm not sure what you'd find from your angle.
Re: Do you like to eat?
i read in the blog abt an interesting way to roast coffee right in comfort of own kitchen. But i have heard stories
fr elders how making coffee with rice during WW2 (that's in the Philippines) have yet to see how it is made. Might post it when
I find the recipe.

Re: Do you like to eat?
As promised. Coffee by roasting rice which came to known during WW2 probably due to scarcity of "luxury" food items.
