Abend, Kameraden -
I'm trying to find a decent pair of German jackboots (Enlisted man, not officer) without hobnails.
During some of my events, the staff request that you do not wear hobnailed boots while in the barracks
in order to keep the floors from getting eviscerated.
I know it's possible to get some low-cut shoes or something of the sort,
however those of you who wear M43 pants will agree that low shoes and M43s do not go very well together...
I did get a hobnailed pair from Robert Land and they work quite well for field use.
And my superiors recommend I search for Wachbataillon boots, but I cannot find them anywhere in a US size 12.
Is my only option to get another pair from Robert Land, just without the hobnails? I was hoping I'd eventually be
able to find a pair of Wachbataillon boots since the rubber grip soles would also help with traction indoors, especially on tiles and such.
Danke

(....the Wachbataillon boots are also VERY comfortable...! )
Twenty years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs....

Re: Non-Hobnailed Jackboots
I'm not sure if I want to spend another $275 on non-hobs that still have heel irons,
the Wachbataillon boots seem ideal due to the rubber gripped soles.
Helps indoor floors as well...
