Here are some pictures I took of the inside of the so called Little Chancellery at Bischofsweisen, that someone was interested in.
Apologies for the awful positioning......
The Hitler office, that he never used, and conference room of Lammers.

At that time all fixtures and fittings were period.
The Italian owner of the building, also decorated Hitlers office with suitable artifacts.
That same day he showed me one of Hitlers wartime peaked caps.
Most exciting.

A discussion was split off into a thread entitled "Does the Berghof Obersalzberg have historical value?".

Hallo Annelie, it is not the Rosenfeld Panorama Strasse, but the Grossglockner Panorama Strasse.
It is Austria's highest mountain, and Austria's largest glacier lays below here (Pasterze Glacier)

Thanks Steve. I took this trip to the Grossglockner while i was staying on holliday in Berchtesgaden.
The trip from Berchtesgaden towards the Grossglockner panorama strasse is about a 2,5 hours drive. Just because you replied to
the image, i would like to share another picture which shows more of the surroundings of the panorama road, and because that other picture doensn't do the road any justice, enjoy the scenery, and maybe you can drive it on your next trip to :-) http://www.panoramio.com/photo/14002398

NL

Those are just some unbelievable pictures! So much beauty there..

It reminds me as we drove in to the area from Munchen; we were so focused on our tour of the Reich history and as we approached and entered the Bavarian Alps we were awe struck and at that point realized our trip had turned into something we hadn't dreamed of, literally seeing one of the great wonders of the world so much that our tour of the Reich became secondary at that point.

All three of us were in the same accord. As laid in my bed at that Turken I looked out my full window pane door across the Berghof site looking at the Alp peaks across the valley in awe of the beauty and wondered how I could ever return home and be happy.

hehehe :-) i had to smile about your last line, because i always have the same experience when i have visited the Alps.
(specially since i am from a totally flat country a 900 km up north, without any mountains at all)
Here is another appetizer, the view i had from my holiday home in Berchtesgaden towards the Watzmann mountain:
