It's a modest neo-classical National Socialist penis. I'll give you a clue: it has a connection to horses.

I see this thread has died, which is a pity.
The answer to my question was this statue at the Olympic Stadium:

I agree with the previous writer. Learned a lot from this thread. Perhaps someone could get it going again?

Well, here is a question for you.

Where is this building located and what's unusual about its history?

It's the former Regierungspräsidium Niederschlesien in Wroclaw (formerly Breslau), which I visited in 2012. I'm not aware of anything particularly unusual about its history.

Yes, that's the one.

There was an architectural design competition for this building and first place went to architect Erwin Grau. But work started according to Feliks Bräuler plans, which were not even submited for competition.

Buiding was not finished before the fall of Festung Breslau, so it was never used for its intended purpose by Germans. It sustained only minor damage in 1945, was completed by Poles and used accordingly.

It's a very impressive building. I have photos, but I don't seem to know how to upload them anymore. I think the rules have changed since I last did so.

As nobody has posted a question for a long time I feel free to ask a question.
I hope this thread is revived again.
Name this monument, situated somewhere in Bavaria.

Best regards
