Came across this building façade at Karl-Theodor 14; looks similar in design to that on Erich-Kastner Str. shown in an earlier post on this thread if a bit rougher

I need help- I was at the NS-Dokumentationszentrum today. I tried the audioguide but was put off by the narrator. Before turning it off completely, I heard her state that this photograph shows a bus of thugs being transported into Munich during the1923 Hitlerputsch from the Hofbrauhaus in Freising (where I live). Here is the only image I can find from the Bundesarchiv.
bundesarchiv_bild_119-1486_hitler-putsch_munchen_marienplatz.jpg
However, the centre has a larger image where "Freising" is clearly shown:

Can anyone suggest where I can find this enlarged image?
Cheers.

Cheers, Max! The Hofbrauhaus is the biggest building in Freising and going past it all the time, it's fascinating to see its role here.

Now & Then - Episode 1: Hitlerputsch

#592

Post by Jeroen7 » 18 Sep 2015, 22:50

After the Oktoberfest 2014 I return to München for the second time this summer. As my (and others) interest in Now & Then growths more and more, the upcoming months I will make some 12-14 video productions about different places of München before, during and after the Third Reich. And the end a movie version with all episodes will be released.

If you like this new series, you maybe like the series Now & Then about the Obersalzberg, Nürnberg and Graz too.
Feel free to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don't miss an episode of any future World War II production.

Here we go....

I have been informed that Eva Braun's small house in Munich-Bogenhausen was demolished yesterday. I haven't seen this in the news yet, although it has been rumored for some months, in spite of calls from local politicians to preserve the historically significant house.
