Re: Bavaria to publish own 'Mein Kampf'.
I wonder how many people will actually buy such crap.
Re: Bavaria to publish own 'Mein Kampf'.
A scientific annotated edition of "Mein Kampf", done by a team of renowned historians. "Institut of Zeitgeschichte" ist one of Germanies best research centres for Nazi history. But what happens now? They planned an edition of only 4000 and it was not possible to subscribe before january 8th. But now they have a run, more than 20.000 subscriptions and not enough books, they must do a second edition, its chaotic. My bookseller told me he has now information whether he could get one for me or not. Thats embarrassing.

Re: Bavaria to publish own 'Mein Kampf'.
Has anyone read the new annotated Bavarian publication of Mein Kampf? For all the earlier AHF posters who thought (or hoped) no one would be interested, the publisher sold out the First Edition (20,000) in about ten minutes. I contacted the publisher via email and asked if there would be an English translation, and the reply was that it would be too expensive, but also that the annotative articles and notations would be 'too technical' for English audiences unfamiliar with German history and culture to understand. (That made me laugh). Meanwhile, I'd bet that if someone wanted to make a fast $million, an English translation (and others) would sell hundreds of thousands of copies... Any interest?
