Does anyone know if this pension on the Tegernsee still exists, and if so, what is the address/location?

I have written a e-mail to the newspaper "Tegernsee Stimme" and attached your images to it.
I did contact them because the newspaper wrote about AH and his visits to the Tegernsee area earlier.
Lets wait and find out with what they come up with.

Hans.

I suppose that this is more appropriate in The Lounge but it is sort of relevant ...sort of ...

Is there a moderator in the house?

I located the house yesterday. It is in St. Quirin am Tegernsee, just down the road from the house formerly owned by publisher Max Amman. I have no idea why Hitler stayed at this particular house, or who owned it.

There have been a few changes, and plants obscure some of the details (it's not easy to get an angled view of the front, even in the winter), but the enlarged comparison convinces me this is the right house.

I think the named to that house Adolf Hitler, is more honorific, that real place where ever Hitler stayed in that house. I read not remember where, in many places of Germany were houses prepared to lodge Hitler, just in case he decide stay overnight in the city or town. He prefered hotels, even in some hotels like the Elephant in Weimar, the suites were reserved 365 days a year. Altought the only good hotel in Tegernesee in this case, had not good memories for him. But as far I know, Hiter never slept one single night in any town on the shores of Tagernsee, too close to Munich, too close to Obersalzberg.

Congratulations, Lieutenant Columbo! :milwink: May it be the same house, where Hitler was mourning after death of Geli?

Hello

A search for "Adolf Hitler Tegernsee" produced this picture: "Adolf Hitler, Hotel Alter Post, Tegernsee."

The house Hitler mourned about Gelis death would have been the house of the publisher Adolf Müller.
I guess who was the owner of this house: Bormann

Oh I see, and I never knew about what Müller Hoffmann writes in his book, that he offered his house in St. Quirin for "mourning" to Hitler... the olny Müller I knew is "gestapo Müller", but it did not seem likely.
