Arndt Publications

"Arndt" publishes a series of photographic books on the Third Reich. They specialize in specific aspects of TR history and have titles such as the 3 volume "Munich: Capital of the Movement", "Hitler's Dream Ships" , "Bombs", "Autobahn".
Does anyone have any of these titles by Arndt? How do they rate as for photographs? Text is mostly German but some have dual German / English. Some examples of the series of books below:

I have the Arndt books on the Berghof and the Reichs-Autobahnen. The books are slim, but the photos are excellent. The Berghof book has some pages of introductory text, with a few B/W photos, then the rest is color photos by Walter Frentz. I like the Autobahnen volume much better. It has many more photos, a mix of color and B/W period photos and paintings, high quality.

Correct Geoff, i also own those two copies, both the Berghof as the one about the Reichs Autobahnen. I bought them in Berchtesgaden by the way.
The book about the autobahn looks like a time capsule to me, and lots of the pictured scenery can be seen even today.
I love driving the german autobahns, and therefore i bought the book, i even made 2 photo's from its pages, had it englarged and framed them for
on the wall.
In Berchtesgaden, i also bought another book, which isn't from Arndt, but has the same style / lay out.
It is called Die Briefmarken des Dritten Reiches (postages stamps from the third reich)
It tells the story by briefmarks, and is full of photo's paintings etc.
Do you know this one as well Geoff ?

Hi Hans,

No, I don't have that one. Did you buy it in the Bahnhof? I was just there on Saturday. :)

Best, Geoff
