Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Steve,
No, the basement has never been accessible when I have been there. When I was in the garage in the 1980s, I would swear there was no opening from there into the basement part beneath the Great Room, but I know that other people got in there that way - maybe someone made an opening after I was in there. Some time about 10 years ago there was an erosion hole where you could see into the east side of the basement, and stick a camera through the hole, but they dumped a lot of fill over that area soon after that hole appeared. There was never a connection from the Berghof basement to the tunnel system, so no basement access that way.

On this photo from your site it shows the connection right at the corner of the retaining wall, so where then did the house access the bunker? I had assumed it was similar to the Turken. There was never a connection from the Berghof basement to the tunnel system, so no basement access that way.
Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Anything left of the adjutancy basement? We never hear much of that building and I don't think I've ever seen any pictures of the insides; only a few of the outside.
Speaking of the adjutancy, given the possibility for high occupancy, with all the entourage etc, was there a parkinglot associated with it and/or the Berghof?

Steve,
right, there was never an access inside the Haus. If you want to go from the Haus into the Bunker, you had to leave the house (there was a door in the Wachenfeld part) and make a few steps to enter the Bunker entrance.
Biber,
as far as I remember, the official cars had a place in the Kaserne--Dienstwagenhalle
Greetings

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
I was wondering if you can answer this question for me geoff, if you walk down past the quest house going down past the bunker entrance on your right a bit further down you will see some logs always stored on your right. Do you know what was there because to me those logs are hiding something from the third reich years plus you can see some brick work on the ground. I was thinking it was part of the bunker entrances to the berghof bunker that was never started would have gone from here for on some bunker maps you can see the the line showing where it would have gone past the quest house bunker.

Cor or whoever...
So this door would be in the corner of the remaining wall but burried and probably bricked up?

Friend of O
That is exactly what I was guessing from the picture with the guard.

That entrance`s bricked up, a picture of that is in the Florian`s book -Hitlers Berg- .
Btw guys, very interesting question from muller1945, I know which place he exactly means, there`s always heap on wood and we can see a concrete fundaments under this. But I have absolutly no idea what was there in the past!

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Pavel, is he talking about the pile of stuff just East ish of the Turken Bunker Exit and a few meters toward the Golf Course?
Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Actually, I don`t think so Steve. I think that we are speaking about that place-first picture. On the second picture you can see a concrete stuff and in the background`s heap on wood.
