Hallo Jeroen, episode nr # 10 was net als de voorgaande weer zeer de moeite van het bekijken waard.
Je muziek keuze bevalt me ook. Prachtig staaltje werk, complimenten.

Hans.

Thanx, it was a pleasure to make this episode too. Some pages ago on this forum there was a nice discussion about some gate houses, that inspired me to make this one.

Thanx for the music compliments as well. I indeed try to get the best matching music.

After uploading I saw the video on YouTube has been blocked in Germany. Stupid YouTube who blocks videos, because I have used some nice film music that record labels in Germany don't want to be used for other things. Therefore I always upload videos to Vimeo as well. But yesterday Vimeo had upload problems. It looks it was uploaded correctly, but when I look now, I indeed see that the upload has not been completed. I have uploaded it again, you should be able to watch it now.

Thanks for uploading again on vimeo. :-) Good work!
Yes, youtube is stupid for german users if you use protected music. We have many problems to see videos in our country because the conflict between youtube and "GEMA".

And again a great video!

Especially the last shot with the Berghof is impressive. And the music fits very well with this.

I knew you all would love that shot. And the music accompanies it perfectly. It's indeed quite impressive. Thanx for all your nice feedback.

And we're back where it all started… with episode 1.

Great Video Jeroen, this is one of the better vids. Although they are all good. I like especially the comparison of the gate house at 2:13. I knew there was a gatehous at that approx that point, but i never seen the old picture that you used. Great.

Has there ever been any photos of the inside of one of the stone guard houses especially
like the one at 2:13 of Jeroen's video.

Some look like they consist of more than one room and what is contained inside?

This Torhaus is called Teugelsbrunn and is just before the exit to the Gusthof (Golfclub now). On the wall you see where the door used to be. I found thiese pictures one this forum and somewhere else by searching for the same pictures in Google.

In my search for pictures of Torhäuser I didn't find any interior. Maybe that wasn't allowed to photograph?

Most likely not....but I would think they contained a telephone, then I wondered if they had beds
or even little stoves to keep the place warm and maybe make something to eat
and drink? What else would they need except firearms?

They look wonderfully constructed especially the stone ones. Now I wonder did one architect plan them or one contruction
company make them all?
