Berghof Obersalzberg
Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Searched the net at least the English speaking sites that sell similar hardware and there
is nothing close available to the lever in the Berghof.
I would think if there are any they would be in Europe certainly not North America.
They look like a design from the 18th century which might be typical European.

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
These are some of the images of the "Kehlstein Haus Lion (Tunnel Door) handles" they are from some of my old files I have on the subject. Geoff might have sent them to me at one time or another?
These are posted here just for general FYI only—having no credence to their authenticity in any way.

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Hey all,
Some folks say that lion is genuine, others say it's not. I believe it has changed hands 2 or 3 times in the past 15 years or so, for 5 figures (US$). It's supposed to be the other one, not the one that ended up in the Eisenhower family.

Hi ueberwelt, welcome!ueberwelt wrote:Hi,
I am doing an artist project about the Berghof and wonder if anyone knows the dimensions of the "great window". From my calculations from looking at the plans I measure it to be around 8 metres wide x 5 metres tall. Does anyone have anything more precise?
Thanks
The great window measured 9 x 3.6 meters, with 90 separate panes.

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Going over one of my books about the Obersalzberg, i found some images which are not posted here in the Berghof Obersalzberg thread.
Took some pictures from them, so here they are as a new addition to this B.O. thread.
