The 29th of April the Panzerbär main headline read something like this in English:
HEROIC GATHERING
Day and Night New Action Forces are Brought Forth
I have tried to preserve the archaic-heroic tone. But, as I am not German someone may have some objections - if so, lets hear them.
Cheers,
Lars

Literally Der längere Atem means "The longer breath" but "to have a long breath" is a German figure of speech for "to have great stamina/endurance/tenacity.Read and pass on!
The Tank-Bear
April 29, 1945
Fighting gazette for the defenders of Greater-Berlin
Heroic struggle

Thomas,
Can you post an image of it with a basic translation into English of what the main headlines says? It would be interesting to see what they were printing the last days of the war.

Propaganda April - May 1945
Here is a copy of the Panzerbaer of 26 April 1945. The headline reads The battle has reached its climax, German reserves rushing to Berlin. Also an appeal for volunteers for the Freikorps Mohnke. The box reads: whoever shows cowardice over fighting like a man at this time, is nothing but a low-down bastard. jv

Freikorps Mohnke
That is a most interesting Panzerbar. It's amazing these late war papers have survived. I've never heard of Freikorps Mohnke. I wonder if the unit was ever formed?
