Thank you for posting the images! I'm currently reading the last of Evans's trilogy and was eager to see examples of the paintings he describes on page 586. I can't seem to locate Olaf Jordan's 'Two Russian Prisoners of the Germans' which is described as showing "some sympathy and compassion" or Franz Junghan's 'Sunset on the Duna River,' described as "almost abstract."
