DAF senior leadership

I have searched for a DAF organization structure which shows who were the senior DAF leaders 1936/38 but I am struggling to find anything authoritative. Who headed Ley's departments, who were his personal "adjutants" ? Is the Smelser book a good source ? Please can anybody recommend a source. Thank you. Peter

I'd have a look at the Nationalsozialistisches Jahrbuch for this period (I don't have this early copies myself though).

I don't know the exact period, but I believe that the following belonged to the DAF-organization - but again it might be later than 1936/38:

Dr. Theodor Adrian von Renteln was leader of the "Oberster Ehren- und Disziplinarhof der DAF",

Claus Selzner was leader of the "Hauptamt NSBO",

Bodo Lafferentz was leader of NS-Gemeinschaft "Kraft durch Freude",

Gottfried Joest was Commander of the Reichsschulungsburg Erwitte (until 1937 - though the Reichsschulungsburg might have sorted under the Reichsorganisationsleitung?)

Fritz Marrenbach was at some point Geschäftsführer der DAF, Otto Marrenbach was at some point Stabsleiter and Heinrich Simon was some point Leiter des Stabsamtes.

Unfortunately not, but they sell on the internet - and again unfortunately at a rather high price.

The best period info. for the DAF came via their publication, "Amtliches Nachrichtenblatt der DAF". It listed postings and dismissals in the DAF.
