Hello,
the place Konrad Goebbels died was the forest between Mossautal-Hüttent
hal and Beerfelden-Airlenbach in the Odenwald (Hesse) (N.N., 1949).
K. Goebbels (or realtives of him?) owned a hunting lodge in Airlenbach where he went into hiding after WWII (de Silva, 1946;
http://tinyurl.com/bvfuqnf). He was arrested there by the CIC in July 1946 (Oppenheimer, 1948). As it seems Goebbels died on July 10th, 1949 just hours after finally leaving the internment camp in Darmstadt. His body was found two days later (Facts on File Yearbook, 1950, p.200).
