The "other" Blutfahne....

The attached images come from "Der SA-Mann", No, 46/1933, which has loads of photos covering the tenth anniversary of the Munich Putsch. In the top image we can see the triangular pennant with anchor device "Blutfahne der HJ" (which was returned to the NSDAP in March 1933 by the Munich Police).

Of more interest, perhaps, is the bottom image, which refers to the "Blutfahnen von Oberland" in the hands of their original bearers. A flag-bearer of Oberland (Gareis?) was shot down alongside Heinrich Trambauer during the clash at the Feldherrnhalle. Interesting that, at this point at least, the famous "Blutfahne" carried by Jacob Grimminger was not the only flag to have this title. More research needed on these other "Blutfahnen"...
