Hans Eisenkolb
was an early NS autrian leader (1.4.32 N° 91 133)

Stellvertretender Gauleiter des Gaus Oberöstereich der (illegalen) NSDAP (Linz) from 1936 to 1938. He held same duties for the rebaptised Gau Oberdonau (Linz) to may 1940.
Army service from november 39 to to 1941.
Then he served as non commissionned Landrat at Gmünd (Niederdonau) from 28/11/1941 to dez 1943. (source TVB 1942 and 1943).

some sources report besetzen ostgebieten (?)

I wonder if release from political duties due to poor leadership and appointment as non commissionned Landrat a "reward" for political action during illegal years (18 months of Polizeistrafe and one month of arrest).
he was never commissionned as Landrat until released on 11/43.

Any comment and info on 43 - 45 duties wellcome.
