Confirmation of Signature - Need help!
I'm looking for an ID on a signature from an Oberbefehlsleiter within the NDSAP's Reichsleitung. It's regarding an evacuation of children in Belgium and its dated from December 1941. Martin Bormann was involved in other documents, so I'm assuming it was someone who had connection to Bormann. I took this picture from the Bundesarchiv in Berlin-Lichterfelde.
Does anyone have any ideas who this signature belongs to? Helmuth Friedrichs is my best guess.
Appreciate any ideas.

The only Oberbefehlsleiters in 1941-42 are, assuming that the name begins with an F, either Helmut Friedrichs or Hugo Fischer. I tend to agree that it is Friedrichs as he was the top assistant in Bormann's Party Chancellery.

But the stamp says "Hauptamt für Volkswohlfahrt" and Friedrichs never was in the Hauptamt but member of the second Division "Parteiangelegenheiten" der Parteikanzlei.
I have documents with Friedrichs signature, I will check this.

The Oberbefehlsleiter of the "Hauptamt für Volkswohlfahrt" was Erich Hilgenfeldt.
Have a look over here:

I don't know if it is Hilgenfeldt's signature
Sorry for my poor english
Kindly regards from Belgium

Can't it be the signature of somebody else who was responsible in absence of the Oberbefehlsleiter? i am noz sure, but could one read "i. ...?" For in Vertretung oder "i. Auftrag"
Could the Name be Fromm(e)?

The stamp may actually be the RECEIVING STAMP to which office the letter was SENT to. Most NSDAP offices stamped lettes when they arrived. Thsi could be a letter from Friedrichs to the office of the Hauptamt für Volkswohlfahrt. Do you have the entire letter?

Georges:
I can't be Janowsky he was never an Oberbefehlsleiter. Here is a list of all known men to hold the rank and many of them were promoted after the December 1941 date on this letter.
There are only a few names that this signature COULD BE. The first letter on the signature still looks like an F but it could be an S. Which means it could be Sommer.
Backe, Herbert
Conti, Leonardo
Fischer, Hugo
Friedrichs, Helmut
Hebenbrock, Walter
Hederich, Karl Heinrich
Hilgenfeldt, Erich
Leibrandt, Georg
Leyser, Ernst
Lingg, Anton
Marrenbach, Otto
Mehnert, Fritz
Parson, Herbert
Ruoff, Paul
Schickedanz, Otto
Schmeer, Rudolf
Simon, Heinrich
Sommer, Walter
Speer, Albert
Stellrecht, Helmut
Thierack, Otto
Urban, Gotthard

Re: Confirmation of Signature - Need help!
Mark,
I considered Janowsky signed like in Vertretung or in Auftrag (i.e. Oberhessin post).
No one from this list was in this Hauptamt.
Georges.
