Any info on Ministerialdirektor Woellke?

#1

Post by Lanternentraeger » 13 Sep 2014, 07:17

Hello, I just joined the forum and thus this is my first post...

I have long been searching for information on the head of the Interior Ministry's central department Woellke. All I have is the last name, no first name, date of birth or what happened to him after the war. I find it strange that someone who obviously had a great deal of bureaucratic influence is not more widely known. I'd love to fill in this gap in my knowledge of Third Reich officials if any body happens to have a lead. Thanks!

Possibly Richard Wöllker

7.5.1941 = promoted to Ministerialdirektor

Thanks Boby and Torsten! So going by your info Richard Wollke had been a long-time member of government, most likely not even a member of the Nazi Party. Based on this assumption, and his age (66 in 1941) it is surprising that he received promotion to Misisterialdirektor at so late a time.
