Re: Hitler's last photograh...?
Yes, and next to this picture, they claim to be the last of Adolf Hitler.

Was this taken in the Old Chancellery Courtyard?
Is that a picture of a Adjutant with Hitler?

Re: Hitler's last photograh...?
These photos were all taken on March 20, 1945 right after the Hitler Youth ceremony in the Chancellery Garden. This topic has been discussed on numerous occasions. It has come to light that the very last photo taken of Hitler just may be the one showing him awarding the Diamonds to Generalleutnant Theodor Tolsdorff. Tolsdorff was notified of the award on March 18th. As it would have taken at least a day or two for him to go to Berlin to meet with Hitler it is possible that the award ceremony for Tolsdorff was AFTER March 20th, making that photograph the last known of Hitler.

Can anyone post March 1945 picture of Tolsdorff awarded Diamonds by AH?
Was it also taken in the Chancellery?

Re: Hitler's last photograh...?
Reading this post: http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 8&t=217187 I followed the link to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josef_Ochs. On this page I came across the name Werner Schwiedel, whom I don't believe to have heard of previously, so I followed the link and came to this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_ ... er#Suicide. At the bottom there is a photo with a caption that reads: "Hitler (right) visiting Berlin defenders in early April 1945 with Hermann Göring (centre) and the Chief of the OKW Field Marshal Keitel (partially hidden)"!!! To my knowledge AH didn't leave the bunker/Reichskanzlei-Complex after the Oder-trip in March '45, and didn't go around Berlin talking to the defenders … I'm not sure its Keitel, the eyes rather reminds me of Krebs (then I'm not too much into uniforms, so I could be wrong) and behind AH we also see Fegelein. Any comments on this photo?

Halfdan:
This photo was taken on April 20, 1944 Hitler's 55th Birthday. This is the day he met the high command on a strip of the Autobahn. Check out other photos of this event and you can match it up. So its a year before the end .Check out this link for video shorts of the event.

Re: Hitler's last photograh...?
Right you are, Mark. This event was heavily covered in the German press; a very similar photo appears on the cover of Illustrierter Beobachter 18/1944, for example...
Btw, I think the ceremony with the HJ in the Chancellery Garden took place on March 19. The March 20 edition of the Voelkischer Beobachter covered the event, and dates it as March 19. The VB appeared in the morning, so it makes sense that the previous day's events were covered the day after they happened...

Thank you both! Some of the pictures I had seen - from the above POV I didn't recognize the scene though. Nice info about the March 19th, Jeff!
