Ernst Röhm's Bodyguards

#1

Post by Ian Sayer » 16 Nov 2015, 19:23

I have come across an individual who indicated that he was a member of Ernst Röhm's bodyguard in 1934. The head of his bodyguard in June 1934 was Kurt Egger I believe, although Julius Uhl ,(who was shot after the Night of the Long Knives) was also apparently involved in the same capacity.
I have been unable to identify this person whose signature is attached. Any help in working out who it might have been would be most appreciated.
Regards
Ian

Yes Dwight I thought perhaps Höfle even and first name possibly Hans or maybe Jos (ef).
Whoever he was he didn't do a very good job in the end! I wonder what happened to him.

Josef Höfl was a member of the Stabswache in the rank of Scharführer, and was promoted to Truppführer in November 1933.

Julius Uhl first led the Stabswache till Kurt Egger succeed him in October 1933.

OK Laurens. That answers that! So we were almost there!
Much appreciated. I wonder where he was on June 30?
