I think you are right.
Glasses, awards and rank insignia, on my opinion, is same.

Mark,
I am 100% sure that it is not Seyss-Inquart. Our mysterious man is much older...But may I ask if you recognized F.X.Schwarz in your photos?
Thanks
Michal

Michal:

Yes Schwarz is wearing his usual Reichsleiter uniform and again he was never a Reichsminister. Here again is my comparison of the man and Inquart.
Also it can't be Meissner as he on the left in the first photo and our man is on the right in the same photo that Andre\ posted from the SS site. Meissner can't be in two places at once.

Hello Mark,
In my opinion we are looking at 2 different men...I dont see any resemblance...
But could you please to post a cropped photo of Schwarz? Thanks.

Michal:

I don't have permission to post any of the other photos for obvious reasons that they will be copied and end up all over the internet. My friend spent money to get copies of these from the NARA and I don't blame him for not wanting them out there. Sorry. But remember Schwarz was NOT a Reichsminister and had no government position, so no matter how much he looks like this man, he was never authorized to wear such a uniform.

Well, judging from the second photo the man has a Seyss-ish outlook. Which strikes me as odd, since I still cannot place him in the first photograph. I maintain its not him.

Dear Mark,
I don´t wanna argue too much...Whoever is the mysterious man in the picture, it is not Seyss-Inquart...I was asking about the cut-off of Schwarz´s face because I can´t recognize him on any of 3 photos posted by Andrey...
Best regards,
Michal

Michal:

Schwarz is not in any of the three photos posted by Andrey, but he is in a couple of the others from the set. I am thinking it must be Gurtner then as Meissner is shown in the same photo as the man in question. As there would not be and other possible candidate it has to Gurtner if not Seyss-Inquart. There is only so many RM candidates that are possible.

It is not Schlegelberger ...
I agree that it is Gürtner.

As far as I can tell Inquart always wore the 4 Stars across version and the no Stars version. There were at least 5 different versions of the Reichministers sleeve "horseshoes" as they were called by collectors.

4 Stars across.
3 Star Up 1 Star Down
3 Stars Up 1 Down but No Eagle. strange insignia worn by Frank. SHOWN HERE !!
No Stars just Wreath and Eagle -- worn by Funk, Seyß-Inquart, Ribbentrop, Dr. Frank, Frick.
No Stars just Wreath and NO EAGLE -- another rare strange insignia worn by Dr. Hans Frank.
Also if you want to include it, is the other Sleeve Eagle and Globe worn by Ribbentrop.

Mark
I think Dr. Hans Frank is trying to out rank himself having the separate eagle on his sleeve, for only hess and hitler did this except for the ss etc. Tho unless Dr. Frank is linking himself to the eastern territories of Rosenberg tho i think he just wants a special uniform for himself.

"No Stars just Wreath and Eagle -- worn by Funk, Inquart, Ribbentrop, Frank, Frick"

Does anybody know the significance of this pattern?

Thank you,

Bruce
