One more for your list: Julius Schaub in J.Benders book "Cloth Insignia of the SS" it´s a clear pic of schaub wearing the "Stosstruppe AH", which only it´s members was entitled to wear.

Then I have excuse my poor English.

Georg

In R.Lumsdens "SS Regalia" on s.40 is a photo of a SA-Sturmbannfuhrer uniform from the Pomeranian SA with a "Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler 1923" cuff title. Lumsden says"It was introduced on 25 may 1936 as a commemorative award for the 30 or so veterans of the SAH".

Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler members

Your list:

Julius Schreck
Christian Weber
Ulrich Graf
Emil Maurice
Sepp Dietrich
Rudolf Hess
Joseph Berthold.

Add:
Erhard Heiden
Hermann Fobke
Karl Fiehler

Delete:
"Sepp" Dietrich (not an original member of the Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler- he was with Stab / Bund Oberland from 21 October 1921 through November 1923 (and participatedin the Munich Putsch while in that capacity). He did not become actively involved with the Party until joining the NSDAP 1 May 1928 and the SS 5 May 1928.

Rudolf Hess was Fuhrer of the SA-Studentbataillon from 1922 until January 1923, then served as Fuhrer of the SA-Hundertschaft in Munich from January 1923 to November 1923. I have no information indicating actual membership in the Stosstrupp A.H. He joined the SS 1 November 1925 (SS-Nr. 50, though SS-Dienstalterlisten from 1 October 1934 onward show him without an SS number), serving as Staffelfuhrer, then Scharfuhrer SS Oberbayern (1927 - 1928). He was Gau SS Fuhrer of Gau Oberbayern-Schwaben (redesignated Gau Oberbayern when Schwaben became a separate Gau) from 1928 - 18 September 1929. Succeeded in this post by "Sepp" Dietrich. Promoted SS-Oberfuhrer: 1 July 1932; SS-Gruppenfuhrer: 24 December 1932; and SS-Obergruppenfuhrer: 21 April 1933 (SS Personalvefehl Nr. 9 dated 10 October 1933). He was also given SA-Obergruppenfuhrer rank on 21 April 1933. He never held another official SS function and gave up his rank of SS-Obergruppenfuhrer on 26 September 1933, however retained the right to wear SS uniform. The SS-Dienstalterliste place him without rank just below Himmler and he was listed as "durch Verfuegung des Fuehrers die Berechtigung zum Tragen des Dienstanzuges eines SS Obergruppenfuehrers". He severed ties with the SS in 1936 as he did not wish to appear to be under Himmler's orders. Source of all this information is the esteemed Phil Nix.

Hope this information is of use.

Best wishes,
~ Mike / ABR

Here are some details on Hermann Fobke. Charles Hamilton's "Leaders and Personalities of the Third Reich, Volume 1" devotes the following note to him: "... a member of 'Stosstrupp Hitler' who was in prison at Landsberg am Lech with Hitler."

Most of following info. is from Karl Hoeffkes "Hitlers Politische Generale". This book does not indicate Fobke was promoted SA-Stubaf., but I believe he was. Because Fobke hailed from Pommern (Pommern) and held a number of Party posts there, I believe he may be the original owner of the SA-Stubaf. tunic pictured in Robin Lumsden's book "SS Regalia".

I'll check my books and see if I can come up with more Stosstrupp members. By the way, should read Joseph Berchtold vs. Berthold.

Best wishes,
~ Mike Miller / ABR

"Berchtold" of course , my mistake!

SA-Sturmbannfuhrer from photo had a gold part badge, you didn't mention it by Fobke. By the way , H.Fobkes career is not really peculiar for a old guard/SAH member.

What happened later with this guys?
Otto Fiehler
Josef Gerum
Karl Laforce
Wilhelm Laforce

Never heard about ! "Laforce" sounds like a French name.

Best wishes!

Stokas~

"Goldenes Ehrenzeichen der NSDAP" = Goldenes Parteiabzeichen (Eng.- Golden Party Badge), of which Fobke was a recipient.

Perhaps AnDie has further details on Fobke's career...?

Best wishes,
