The person of photo must be Ludwig Schröder. Fritz Schröder was not Generalarbeitsführer, he was Generalarbeitsarzt.

Hi Jerome!

Unfortunately what you see is all that I have - no indications as to date or place. The only definite thing is that as per his signature, his surname is Schroeder and not Schröder.

Regards,

VJK

I assume this is not the Reicshluftschutzbund leader Ludwig von Schroder who was also SS GF Gen der Flakartillerie and former Vizeadmiral

Hello,

outstanding information guys!I have been looking for this info for a few years now,I am a member of another forum and i only recently found out about this forum,Im glad i did!I collect RAD and this information is very helpfull!I was under the impression that no official list of high or middle ranking RAD officers existed,I do have a question about your list Georges, in your list you mention a general arbeitsfuhrer V.Wenkstein,I have a period newspaper Illusrieter Beobachter and on the cover is a full page picture of obertruppfuhrer Bittner wearing his KC with his RAD uniform and inspecting RAD men with generalarbeitsfuhrer V. Wenkstern,is it possible that your list has a spelling error or maybe the newspaper has a misprint?

It´s my mistake. The correct name is Carl von Wenckstern. 20.04.1939 Generalarbeitsführer.

Mark and Andie, your lists seem to be a bit different..
I compared just the 'Obergeneralarbeitsfuhrers' part and there are many differents already, i combined the lists and maybe this is how its supposed to be?:
OBERGENERALARBEITSFUHRERS:

Alten, Karl Wilhelm von -- head of Arbeitsgau 15
Alten, Viktor von
Band, Viktor
Busse, Wilhelm
Decker, Dr. Wilhelm
Eisenbeck, Martin
Henrici, Dr. Waldemar
Löffelholz, Wilhelm von Colberg
Loye, Friedrich zur
Muller, Alfred -- head of Arbeitsgau 26
Schinnerer, Friedrich -- head of Arbeitsgau 31
Schmeidler, Dr. Herbert
Schmückle, Karl
Schroeder, Dr. Fritz
Simon, Karl
Tholens, Hermann
Wager, Dr. Hermann

Baumann, Hans -- Charakter (honory rank)
Colberg, Curt Freiherr Loffelholz von -- Charakter (honory rank)
Dortschy, Hans -- Charakter (honory rank)
Köhler, Friedrich -- Charakter (honory rank)
Schröder, Ludwig -- Charakter (honory rank)
When more of them have this rank as honory rank please add it to the list, when you know anythink abouth the arbeitsgau etc. please add it too.

Michel. :)

Hello,

since my last post i was fortunate enough to find 5 period books from a dealer in Germany one in particular was an outstanding source of information and pictures "Der Fuhrer im Arbeitsdienst" by oberstfeldmeister Fritz Edel has not only a early list of all RAD genarals but also pictures of them as well!I just got it a a few hours ago when i got home from work but allready i can see information that will be usefull in our discussion, first for VJK your picture is of Gauarbeitsfuhrer/generalarbeitsfuhrer Ludwig Schoder arbeitsgau 6 Mecklenburg, the only thing is the surname in my book is Schroder, not Schroeder? but the picture I have is the same man you posted (it is obviously the same man!) but has the caption "Gauarbeitsfuhrer Ludwig Schoder arbeitsgau 6 Mecklenburg"the only thing i dont understand is the signature on your picture obviously says schroeder???I will post the picture/caption tommarow if i can figure out how-

philmil the Dr? von Funke in your list is Dr. Kurt Leopold von Funke,I have yet to find a date on the book "Der Fuhere im Arbeitsdienst" by Fritz Edel however all the photos the men are wearing pre July 1934 Gauarbeitsfuhrer shoulder boards and the larger group pictures are all dated 1934,includeing some outstanding group photos of Hierl with Goebels,Hierl with all the Gauarbeitsfuhrers etc, also their are only 30 A.G listed and alot of the same men were listed on the 1943 list of generalarbeitsfuhrers only with different A.G for example in Marks list from the 1943 Jahrbuch,Martin Eisenbeck is listed as generalarbeitsfuhrer of A.G 1 however on my early (1934) list he is listed and pictured as Gauarbeitsfuhrer of Arbeitsgau 8 Ostmark-another example Dr Wilhelm Decker is listed in my book as Gauarbeitsfuhrer und Inspecteur der Fuhrerschulen des Arbeitsdienst -i will post a complete list as it appears in my book tommarow,i was also lucky enough to pick up the 1937/1938 Jahrbuch as well as "Winter Schulungs arbeit im A.G XVII" "fuhrung von Personalunterlagen" and "Der Dienstunterricht reichsarbeitsdienst A.G XVII"i havent even got a chance to look through these yet i will add any usefull information i find to this most interesting thread!
