Does anyone know where I can find German Radio Programs to download, not the the propaganda, but day to day Radio. There must have been more shows for the family, instead of military music and propaganda speeches?

I'm pretty sure there were already similar topics on the Forum, just use search function.
Basically each station had its own program, so it's a large subject...
I have some daily programs for some stations for war years 1939 - 1945, not too many for peace time unfortunately, when you would expect some "non military/propaganda" programs. Can do some scans. Any particular day/month/year?

Not much for May 1945, as remaining German stations were going off air from the 1st of May (Reichssender Berlin) until 13th of May (Flensburg). They were broadcasting mostly classical music at that time...

For late June 1944 I found only Reichsprogramm and Deutschlandsender.

No, I have not.
My source are weekly program bulletins. They have theatre, movies, radio and sport events listed for particular territorial areas.

Did the radio carry the same programs all through Germany at the time or perhaps like
today....different cities have different programs at different times?

Re: Gleiwitz/Gliwice, 31st of August 1939

Several people asked me about transmitter in Gleiwitz. Here is some info.

Microphone/recording studio was located several kilometers away from a radio transmitter station.
So initially when attackers were about to send their broadcast from transmitter station it turned out there was no microphone to use. A worker provided and connected a service microphone used only for emergency broadcast, when transmitter's antenna needed to be disconnected in case of a lightning storm. Either the microphone was broken or under stress worker stuffed up a procedure, anyway only parts of broadcast were aired properly.

Also there seems to be a confusion on which day actually Gleiwitz transmitter was put into operation in December 1935. Local newspaper in Gleiwitz reported that it happened on Monday 23rd at 2pm. According to other sources, Geobbels Christmas address on 22nd at 7pm was also aired by a new transmitter.

Here is a radio program propagated by transmitter in Gleiwitz / Gliwice (bottom part - below Gleiwitz), on the 31st of August 1939.
Basically this facility was re-sending program of Reichssender Breslau.
Unfortunately I don't have a program of Reichssender Breslau for that day, so can't tell if any local contents was added by studio in Gleiwitz.

Reichssender Breslau was transmitting on 950 kHz (315.8 m). New Gleiwitz transmitter (from Dec 1935 as per earlier post) on 1231 kHz (243.7 m).
Radio program for Gleiwitz was published in local newspaper.

For comparison below are programs for Breslau and Gleiwitz for Monday, 28th of March 1938.
As we can see they shared contents, but both programs were identical. There was a fair amount of contents made in Gleiwitz studio and this was clearly stated in Reichssender Breslau program.
