How were German philopsophers interpreted by the Nazis

As most of you know, Nazi Germany had a few self proclaimed 'philosophers' like Walter Darre' and Alfred Rosenberg. How did they and other Nazis interpret the philosophers that actually mattered like Kant, Goethe, Hegel, Neitzsche and others? I find intellectualism in Nazi Germany fascinating and would like to know more about this.

Thanks

Well one notorious example is how the Nazis misinterpreted Nietzsche's concept of the Übermensch (superhuman) into a racial context for the Aryan or Germanic master race. Despite the fact Nietzsche rejected nationalism.

Heidegger was also associated with the Third Reich

Yvonne Sherratt book Hitler's Philosophers gives further information on the philosophers who influenced Hitler.

You don't mention the big one, and also he talked of other philosophers and made mention of a few in his book.

Try Mein Kampf, by you know who.
