I know a little something about this. From what I gather , though the National Socialists might have viewed the Amerindians are being a non-Aryan foreign people , they were not contemptuous of them as such. In fact in Wagnerian romantic fashion , they even held Native Americans in fascination , as simple down to earth noble savages , with a warrior spirit , both before , during , and after World War II . My proof texts are these http://www.saschapohle.net/German%20Ind ... n_tex.html , http://robbinsbecher.com/projects/germanindians/ , and the article " Karl May and the New Age" , found on this web page http://www.oocities.org/redroadcollective/KarlMay.html. Also , even while not regarding them as being appropriate members of the gemeinschaft , the Third Reich did accept non-European people as part of a type of foreign legion. http://moviepilot.com/posts/1215524.

I heard rumors (rumors, mind you) that the Native Americans would have been considered as "Honorable Aryans". Apperently, "Honorable Aryans" were exceptions for those who weren't of Aryan descent that would provide a political edge or a gain of some sort for the Reich. To be honest though, it sounds more like cherry-picking to me. Or propaganda. Or both.

I've never heard the term to be used towards native Americans but rather political allies such as the Japanese as well as a selective few Jews/mischlinge.

My great grandfather was POW in the war and actually had a conversation with hitler.
Hitler asked him why he was fighting for the white people? And that the germans had no war with natives.
My grandfather told him the the whole world was against him. My grandfather was in the prison for 4 years and was skin and bones when he got out so i think that says alot about hitlers view on natives ! Good enough to make suffer.

Maybe your grandpa was a POW, but Hitler never visited any prison or concentration camp
The conversation about with your grandpa and Hitler is a fairytale and unbelievable
