"Nazi-bred super cows" roam farm in Devon

Their meat will not be reaching the Sunday lunch table and nobody would dare get close enough to try to milk them. But a herd of "super cows", descended from animals bred in Nazi Germany, is making an impressive sight on a farm in south-west England.
The animals, Heck cattle, were bred by the brothers Heinz and Lutz Heck, two zoologists who wanted to recreate the aurochs. An extinct European wild ox, the aurochs features as an important beast in Teutonic mythology.
Only a few Heck cattle survived after the second world war but now Derek Gow, a farmer and conservation consultant, has shipped 13 bulls and cows from Belgium to the farm in Devon, where they have joined a growing collection of beavers, polecats and water voles.
Rather than allowing his Heck cattle to be hunted, as some of the Nazi leaders wanted to do, Gow will let photographers take pictures of the animals. He also hopes to start his own breeding programme.
He believes Heck cattle - which, he says, "look prehistoric" - could one day have an important conservation role, taking the place of aurochs in the environment. "They would be ideal for a reintroduction programme in Britain because they don't need human attention."
He added: "They are an important part of the ecosystem because each cow produces its own weight in dung a year. That is excellent for the whole food chain, from dung beetles upwards."
Gow said his Hecks were much shorter than the aurochs but had a similar muscular build, deep-brown complexion and shaggy, coffee-coloured fringe.

Interesting...thanks.

Does this mean anything that the "nazis" touched or used becomes Nazi?
How about from which the experiments were done during that period (do not condone the experimenting)
is also thought to be nazi?

Poor cows but at least they are being preserved instead of hunted.

North America has experimented with animals for years
and have made super huge turkeys, pigs and cows that
out perform in milking. Nazi's had nothing to do with it.

Monsanto biotech experiments are well known plus now
animals.

There is a difference. There is solid science behind Mosanto. But Heck was more like a mad scientist cross-breeding an elephant and a pig to achieve something wonderful. It was known his methods were unlikely to bring results then, and I think they are considered worthless today.

Agreed except that I and many others
There is solid science behind Mosanto
will not willing eat any
product that Monsanto has worked with.

In fact now I believe I read recently that some countries will ban using their products

I believe I also watched on tv. in the last year or so that their experiments on animals are so secret that in some of these places they have armed guards 24 hours a day.

Buying locally from organic farmers who don't use Monsanto products is becoming more main stream
these days.

I understand that. But those are first world problems.
The billions of poor people, and the millions dying from hunger all around the world every year will not be saved by expensive organic food, or Greenpeace with their windmills.
Only Mosanto and and their ilk can do it with their cheap, disease resistant, no-expertise-required-to-produce foods.
They are no angels, and have made/will made mistakes - as any other organizations, mistakes are unavoidable.
